Dana Knowles
Dana Knowles invented the Hanging Fabric Shower Caddy – Mesh Design attaches to shower rod via grommets or hook and loop straps. It holds Shampoo, Body Wash, Razors, Poufs, and more. In this episode of the Invention Stories Podcast, Dana shares how she overcame drugs and alcohol dependency to license her Hanging Shower Caddy to Grand Fushion Housewares.
Dana has been featured on QVC Sprouts, Inventors Digest, American Profile, Around the Panhandle Magazine & Pink magazines. In 2014, she won the Adored Lead & Love Award. In the past, she has been the President of The Inventors Network of the Capital Area and currently Treasurer of The Inventors Network of the Capital Area. Dana has been also reatured on 30 seconds of fame on TLC’s My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding. She is a member of Ward 2 Neighborhood Association. Dana has been a board member Community Alternatives to Violence.
In 2012, Dana was the keynote speaker at “Fight 4 She” fundraiser to bring awareness to domestic violence, “If You See Something Say Something”. Advisory Board of Valley College. Dana is a Certified Recovery and Emergency Department Recovery Coach and Peer Specialist. She enjoys public speaking, and invite all to read her “How I traveled from homeless addict, to successful business owner/inventor…What’s Your Excuse?”
In her spare time Dana works with women who are trying to stay stopped from their alcohol and drug addiction.
