These are the podcast show notes from Episode 27, our interview with Louis Foreman. He created Enventys, an intergrated product design and engineering firm. Louis is also the founder and CEO of Edison Nation. This episode is the first in a three-part series. I’m really excited to share these interview notes with you because Louis Foreman has truly helped people invent smarter.
Starting a Business in College
Louis Forman’s interest in starting businesses and developing innovative products began when he was a sophomore in college in Illinois. He started his first business right out of his dorm room. He has created nine successful start up’s. Louis Foreman has been directly responsible for the creation of 20 others. He has filed and received 10 US registered patents. His firm is responsible for developing over 700 more.
Louis Foreman has also created the Emmy award-winning PBS TV show Everyday Edisons…which shares the invention process in action. I highly recommend to everyone interested in learning about inventing to watch. Louis Foreman is the publisher of the Inventors Digest. In 2009, he published the Independent Inventor’s Handbook, a great book to read for anyone interested in inventing.
